E-PRO Overstock stands as an online marketplace tailored for contractors, facilitating the buying and selling of surplus items from completed projects. Founded by two experienced brothers from Edmonton, both seasoned contractors, the platform addresses the industry's demands by helping contractors optimize warehouse space, locate items affected by supply chain challenges, and responsibly resell excess, brand-new materials to those in need. This platform enables users to effortlessly list, purchase, and sell both new and used items that occupy valuable storage space in their facilities.
E-PRO Overstock evolved from a pioneering idea that required actualization. Collaborating closely with the EPRO team, we undertook the entire process from selecting a fitting name to crafting the brand and developing the platform. The primary challenge involved establishing a multi-vendor marketplace where each vendor could autonomously manage their store and inventories. Additionally, we faced the task of designing a user-friendly interface for both buyers and sellers to navigate the platform seamlessly.
Following the selection of the name, our design team introduced various color schemes and logo options aimed at encapsulating the essence of E-PRO and establishing its unique brand identity. Subsequently, our focus shifted to translating this brand into a tangible presence through the development of the website. After thorough platform research, we opted to construct the marketplace on x, as it provided the necessary functionality and security essential for the three primary users of the platform: the administrative team, vendors, and shoppers. We meticulously mapped out the user experience for each category, ensuring an optimal and tailored experience for all involved parties.
