People aren’t buying your product. They are buying your experience. The problem most companies have is that they are wasting at least half of the money they are spending on marketing; they just don’t know which half. Why? Because most marketing focuses on what is being sold and not how it makes their customer’s lives better.
Not only are they not buying from you, they aren’t even talking about you. It’s wrong that people don’t know how you make their lives better. You deserve to have people paying attention to your brand because they understand what problem your solving. Making your customer the hero of the story is the solution.
Customers need to feel better about their choices; if you can’t clearly paint a picture of how your company improves their lives then you are not solving their problem. If you solve your customer’s problem, you help them resolve their internal conflict.
To grow your business you need to do two things:
- Understand your customer’s problem
- Tell them how you resolve that conflict.
People buy what they understand. Stop wasting money and be clear about your role in helping them solve their problem. And then do it over and over again.
